There shall be two tenons in each board, joined to one another: thus you shall make for all the boards of the tabernacle.
You shall make the boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards for the south side southward.
For the far part of the tabernacle westward you shall make six boards.
They shall be double beneath, and in the same way they shall be whole to its top to one ring: thus shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners.
There shall be eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
“You shall make bars of acacia wood: five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
and five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle, for the far part westward.
The middle bar in the middle of the boards shall pass through from end to end.
You shall set up the tabernacle according to the way that it was shown to you on the mountain.
“You shall make the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen one hundred cubits long for one side:
The width of the court on the east side eastward shall be fifty cubits.
For the other side shall be hangings of fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three.
The length of the court shall be one hundred cubits, and the width fifty throughout, and the height five cubits, of fine twined linen, and their sockets of brass.
six of their names on the one stone, and the names of the six that remain on the other stone, in the order of their birth.
“Behold, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:
to devise skillful works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
Behold, I myself have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the heart of all who are wise-hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded you:
“‘Let every wise-hearted man among you come, and make all that Yahweh has commanded:
the tabernacle, its outer covering, its roof, its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets;
the pins of the tabernacle, the pins of the court, and their cords;
in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all kinds of skillful workmanship.
“Bezalel and Oholiab shall work with every wise-hearted man, in whom Yahweh has put wisdom and understanding to know how to do all the work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that Yahweh has commanded.”
All the wise men, who performed all the work of the sanctuary, each came from his work which they did.
All the wise-hearted men among those who did the work made the tabernacle with ten curtains; of fine twined linen, blue, purple, and scarlet, with cherubim, the work of the skillful workman, they made them.
The length of each curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits. All the curtains had one measure.
He coupled five curtains to one another, and the other five curtains he coupled to one another.
Ten cubits was the length of a board, and a cubit and a half the width of each board.
Each board had two tenons, joined to one another. He made all the boards of the tabernacle this way.
For the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, he made twenty boards,
For the far part of the tabernacle westward he made six boards.
They were double beneath, and in the same way they were all the way to its top to one ring. He did this to both of them in the two corners.
There were eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; under every board two sockets.
and five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle for the hinder part westward.
He made the middle bar to pass through in the middle of the boards from the one end to the other.
He made four pillars of acacia for it, and overlaid them with gold. Their hooks were of gold. He cast four sockets of silver for them.
He cast four rings for the four ends of brass grating, to be places for the poles.
For the east side eastward fifty cubits.
The hangings for the one side were fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three;
They brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent, with all its furniture, its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets,
“On the first day of the first month you shall raise up the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
In the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was raised up.
When the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward, throughout all their journeys;
but if the cloud wasn’t taken up, then they didn’t travel until the day that it was taken up.
“‘When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as forbidden. Three years they shall be forbidden to you. It shall not be eaten.
You shall sow your field six years, and you shall prune your vineyard six years, and gather in its fruits;
“‘You shall count off seven Sabbaths of years, seven times seven years; and there shall be to you the days of seven Sabbaths of years, even forty-nine years.
The land shall yield its fruit, and you shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
If you said, “What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase”;
then I will command my blessing on you in the sixth year, and it shall bear fruit for the three years.
You shall sow the eighth year, and eat of the fruits, the old store; until the ninth year, until its fruits come in, you shall eat the old store.
“‘If a man sells a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it has been sold. For a full year he shall have the right of redemption.
You shall eat old store long kept, and you shall move out the old because of the new.
If he dedicates his field from the Year of Jubilee, according to your valuation it shall stand.
But if he dedicates his field after the Jubilee, then the priest shall reckon to him the money according to the years that remain to the Year of Jubilee; and an abatement shall be made from your valuation.
“Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, every male, one by one;
from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go out to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall count them by their divisions.
With you there shall be a man of every tribe; everyone head of his fathers’ house.
These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.
Moses and Aaron took these men who are mentioned by name.
They assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they declared their ancestry by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, one by one.
As Yahweh commanded Moses, so he counted them in the wilderness of Sinai.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Reuben, were forty-six thousand five hundred.
Of the children of Simeon, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, those who were counted of it, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty-four thousand four hundred.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty-two thousand two hundred.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Dan, were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty-one thousand five hundred.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.
These are those who were counted, whom Moses and Aaron counted, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: they were each one for his fathers’ house.
So all those who were counted of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war in Israel;
even all those who were counted were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.
The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.
Those who encamp on the east side toward the sunrise shall be of the standard of the camp of Judah, according to their divisions: and the prince of the children of Judah shall be Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
His division, and those who were counted of them, were seventy-four thousand six hundred.
Those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Issachar: and the prince of the children of Issachar shall be Nethanel the son of Zuar.
His division, and those who were counted of it, were fifty-four thousand four hundred.
His division, and those who were counted of it, were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
All who were counted of the camp of Judah were one hundred eighty-six thousand four hundred, according to their divisions. They shall set out first.
“On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their divisions. The prince of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.
His division, and those who were counted of it, were forty-six thousand five hundred.
“Those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Simeon. The prince of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
His division, and those who were counted of them, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
His division, and those who were counted of them, were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.
“All who were counted of the camp of Reuben were one hundred fifty-one thousand four hundred fifty, according to their armies. They shall set out second.
“Then the Tent of Meeting shall set out, with the camp of the Levites in the middle of the camps. As they encamp, so shall they set out, every man in his place, by their standards.
“On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their divisions: and the prince of the children of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud.
His division, and those who were counted of them, were forty thousand five hundred.
“Next to him shall be the tribe of Manasseh: and the prince of the children of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
His division, and those who were counted of them, were thirty-two thousand two hundred.
“All who were counted of the camp of Ephraim were one hundred eight thousand one hundred, according to their divisions. They shall set out third.
“On the north side shall be the standard of the camp of Dan according to their divisions: and the prince of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
His division, and those who were counted of them, were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
“Those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Asher: and the prince of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ochran.
His division, and those who were counted of them, were forty-one thousand and five hundred.
“The tribe of Naphtali: and the prince of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan.
His division, and those who were counted of them, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.
“All who were counted of the camp of Dan were one hundred fifty-seven thousand six hundred. They shall set out last by their standards.”
These are those who were counted of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses. All who were counted of the camps according to their armies were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.
