Yahweh God made coats of animal skins for Adam and for his wife, and clothed them.
Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine: and he was priest of God Most High.
Abraham answered, “See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord, although I am dust and ashes.
He will be your spokesman to the people; and it will happen, that he will be to you a mouth, and you will be to him as God.
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
Moses said to his father-in-law, “Because the people come to me to inquire of God.
He said to Moses, “Come up to Yahweh, you, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship from a distance.
Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
He said to the elders, “Wait here for us, until we come again to you. Behold, Aaron and Hur are with you. Whoever is involved in a dispute can go to them.”
Moses entered into the middle of the cloud, and went up on the mountain; and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold. Two and a half cubits shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its width.
There I will meet with you, and I will tell you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the testimony, all that I command you for the children of Israel.
You shall put the two stones on the shoulder straps of the ephod, to be stones of memorial for the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before Yahweh on his two shoulders for a memorial.
Seven days shall the son who is priest in his place put them on, when he comes into the Tent of Meeting to minister in the holy place.
You shall put it before the veil that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with you.
On the next day, Moses said to the people, “You have sinned a great sin. Now I will go up to Yahweh. Perhaps I shall make atonement for your sin.”
Moses returned to Yahweh, and said, “Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made themselves gods of gold.
It will happen, while my glory passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with my hand until I have passed by;
He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.
He shall bring the bull to the door of the Tent of Meeting before Yahweh; and he shall lay his hand on the head of the bull, and kill the bull before Yahweh.
The anointed priest shall take some of the blood of the bull, and bring it to the Tent of Meeting.

and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle it seven times before Yahweh, before the veil.
The priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering. He shall pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering.
He killed the burnt offering; and Aaron’s sons delivered the blood to him, and he sprinkled it around on the altar.
The rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, and the priest shall make atonement for him before Yahweh.
He shall take a censer full of coals of fire from off the altar before Yahweh, and two handfuls of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil:
for on this day shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you; from all your sins you shall be clean before Yahweh.
The priest, who is anointed and who is consecrated to be priest in his father’s place, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, even the holy garments.
The priest shall present them before Yahweh, and shall offer his sin offering, and his burnt offering.
“The Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and you shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering to Yahweh, to make atonement for the Levites.
Moses and Aaron came to the front of the Tent of Meeting.
Moses said to Aaron, “Take your censer, and put fire from off the altar in it, and lay incense on it, and carry it quickly to the congregation, and make atonement for them; for wrath has gone out from Yahweh! The plague has begun.”
Aaron did as Moses said, and ran into the middle of the assembly. The plague had already begun among the people. He put on the incense, and made atonement for the people.
He stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.
Aaron returned to Moses to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and the plague was stopped.
The people came to Moses, and said, “We have sinned, because we have spoken against Yahweh, and against you. Pray to Yahweh, that he take away the serpents from us.” Moses prayed for the people.
He said to Balak, “Stand here by your burnt offering, while I meet God over there.”
Moses brought their cause before Yahweh.
Moses spoke to Yahweh, saying,
(I stood between Yahweh and you at that time, to show you Yahweh’s word: for you were afraid because of the fire, and didn’t go up onto the mountain;) saying,
Go near, and hear all that Yahweh our God shall say, and tell us all that Yahweh our God tells you; and we will hear it, and do it.”
Yahweh was angry enough with Aaron to destroy him. I prayed for Aaron also at the same time.
So I fell down before Yahweh the forty days and forty nights that I fell down, because Yahweh had said he would destroy you.
At that time Yahweh set apart the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, to stand before Yahweh to minister to him, and to bless in his name, to this day.
This is according to all that you desired of Yahweh your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, “Let me not hear again Yahweh my God’s voice, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I not die.”
I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you. I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.
The priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for them Yahweh your God has chosen to minister to him, and to bless in Yahweh’s name; and according to their word shall every controversy and every assault be decided.
Since then, there has not arisen a prophet in Israel like Moses, whom Yahweh knew face to face,
He shall dwell in that city until he stands before the congregation for judgment, until the death of the high priest that shall be in those days. Then the man slayer shall return, and come to his own city, and to his own house, to the city he fled from.’”
I thought I should tell you, saying, ‘Buy it before those who sit here, and before the elders of my people.’ If you will redeem it, redeem it; but if you will not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know. For there is no one to redeem it besides you; and I am after you.” He said, “I will redeem it.”
Jonathan called David, and Jonathan showed him all those things. Then Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as before.
May Yahweh therefore be judge, and give sentence between me and you, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of your hand.”
Solomon was told, “Behold, Adonijah fears king Solomon; for, behold, he is hanging onto the horns of the altar, saying, ‘Let king Solomon swear to me first that he will not kill his servant with the sword.’”
The king answered the man of God, “Now intercede for the favor of Yahweh your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again.” The man of God interceded with Yahweh, and the king’s hand was restored to him again, and became as it was before.
But Aaron and his sons offered on the altar of burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, for all the work of the most holy place, and to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
They brought near the male goats for the sin offering before the king and the assembly; and they laid their hands on them.
Then the priests killed them, and they made a sin offering with their blood on the altar, to make atonement for all Israel; for the king commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be made for all Israel.
For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, that we should come together in judgment.
There is no umpire between us, that might lay his hand on us both.
“Surely I would speak to the Almighty. I desire to reason with God.
Even now, behold, my witness is in heaven. He who vouches for me is on high.
There the upright might reason with him, so I should be delivered forever from my judge.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer.
Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had Moses, his chosen, not stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, so that he wouldn’t destroy them.
He sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz.
He who justifies me is near. Who will bring charges against me? Let us stand up together. Who is my adversary? Let him come near to me.
You shall give to the priests the Levites who are of the offspring of Zadok, who are near to me, to minister to me,’ says the Lord Yahweh, ‘a young bull for a sin offering.
Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having oversight at the gates of the house, and ministering in the house. They shall kill the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister to them.
Behold, one in the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips. Then I opened my mouth, and spoke and said to him who stood before me, “My lord, by reason of the vision my sorrows have overtaken me, and I retain no strength.
By a prophet Yahweh brought Israel up out of Egypt, and by a prophet he was preserved.
He answered and spoke to those who stood before him, saying, “Take the filthy garments off him.” To him he said, “Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich clothing.”
Yahweh’s angel protested to Joshua, saying,
I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?”
Then he said, “These are the two anointed ones who stand by the Lord of the whole earth.”
For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth; for he is the messenger of Yahweh of Armies.
For when the dead were already fallen in heaps one upon another, Standing between he stopped the advancing wrath, And cut off the way to the living.
He exalted Aaron, a holy man like to him, Even his brother, of the tribe of Levi.
Who anointed kings for retribution, And prophets to succeed after him:
And Jonathan had knowledge thereof, and sent ambassadors to him, to the end that they should make peace with him, and that he should restore to them the captives.
And he sent to them according to these words: King Demetrius to the nation of the Jews, greeting:
King Demetrius to his brother Jonathan, and to the nation of the Jews, greeting:
King Demetrius to Simon the high priest and Friend of kings, and to the elders and nation of the Jews, greeting:
and Jonathan assembled their nation together, and became their high priest, and was gathered to his people:
But the copy hereof they wrote to Simon the high priest.
And on this behalf I have given order in detail, both to these men and to those that are sent from me, to confer with you.
the son of Sadduk, the son of Ahitob, the son of Amarias, the son of Ozias, the son of Memeroth, the son of Zaraias, the son of Savias, the son of Boccas, the son of Abisne, the son of Phinees, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, the chief priest.
And the angel that was sent to me, whose name was Uriel, gave me an answer,
Then said I, Yes my Lord. And he answered me, and said, I am sent to show you three ways, and to set forth three similitudes before you:
And I answered and said, if I have found favor in your sight, show further to me your servant whether in the day of judgment the just will be able to intercede for the ungodly or to entreat the Most High for them,
And I answered and said, How do we now find that first Abraham prayed for the people of Sodom, and Moses for the fathers that sinned in the wilderness:
For the Son of Man also came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
He said to them, “This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many.
Behold, two men were talking with him, who were Moses and Elijah,
But he said to him, “Man, who made me a judge or an arbitrator over you?”
Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
No one has ascended into heaven, but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.
I am one who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me.”
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever,—
