Nathanael said to him, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”
and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when the guests have drunk freely, then that which is worse. You have kept the good wine until now!”
But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”
and will come out; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.
There was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning him. Some said, “He is a good man.” Others said, “Not so, but he leads the multitude astray.”
Have any of the rulers believed in him, or of the Pharisees?
I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out, and will find pasture.
The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
I am the good shepherd. Isaiah 40:11; Ezekiel 34:11-12,15,22 The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and I’m known by my own;
even as the Father knows me, and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep.
Therefore a division arose again among the Jews because of these words.
Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of those works do you stone me?”
if we are examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed,
Therefore select from among you, brothers, seven men of good report, full of the Holy Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
But Philip was found at Azotus. Passing through, he preached the Good News to all the cities, until he came to Caesarea.
Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which when translated, means Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and acts of mercy which she did.
Therefore I sent to you at once, and it was good of you to come. Now therefore we are all here present in the sight of God to hear all things that have been commanded you by God.”
The word which he sent to the children of Israel, preaching good news of peace by Jesus Christ—he is Lord of all—
even Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith, and many people were added to the Lord.
We bring you good news of the promise made to the fathers,
There they preached the Good News.
Yet he didn’t leave himself without witness, in that he did good and gave you rains from the sky and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”
When they had preached the Good News to that city, and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch,
The brothers who were at Lystra and Iconium gave a good testimony about him.
He entered into the synagogue, and spoke boldly for a period of three months, reasoning and persuading about the things concerning God’s Kingdom.
In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
One Ananias, a devout man according to the law, well reported of by all the Jews who lived in Damascus,
Paul, looking steadfastly at the council, said, “Brothers, I have lived before God in all good conscience until today.”
The natives showed us uncommon kindness; for they kindled a fire, and received us all, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.
Now in the neighborhood of that place were lands belonging to the chief man of the island, named Publius, who received us, and courteously entertained us for three days.
For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the Good News of his Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you always in my prayers,
So, as much as is in me, I am eager to preach the Good News to you also who are in Rome.
because that which is known of God is revealed in them, for God revealed it to them.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse.
Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
to those who by perseverance in well-doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, eternal life;
But glory, honor, and peace go to every man who does good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
(for when Gentiles who don’t have the law do by nature the things of the law, these, not having the law, are a law to themselves,
in the day when God will judge the secrets of men, according to my Good News, by Jesus Christ.
and know his will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,
Much in every way! Because first of all, they were entrusted with the revelations of God.
As it is written, “There is no one righteous; no, not one.
They have all turned away. They have together become unprofitable. There is no one who does good, no, not so much as one.” Psalms 14:1-3; 53:1-3; Ecclesiastes 7:20
for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;
For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a righteous person someone would even dare to die.
Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy, and righteous, and good.
Did then that which is good become death to me? May it never be! But sin, that it might be shown to be sin, was producing death in me through that which is good; that through the commandment sin might become exceedingly sinful.
But if what I don’t desire, that I do, I consent to the law that it is good.
For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don’t find it doing that which is good.
For the good which I desire, I don’t do; but the evil which I don’t desire, that I practice.
I find then the law, that, to me, while I desire to do good, evil is present.
For I delight in God’s law after the inward man,
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!” Isaiah 52:7
See then the goodness and severity of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise you also will be cut off.
Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
or he who exhorts, to his exhorting: he who gives, let him do it with generosity; he who rules, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.
If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.
Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.” Proverbs 25:21-22
Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the same,
for he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn’t bear the sword in vain; for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil.
The night is far gone, and the day is near. Let’s therefore throw off the deeds of darkness, and let’s put on the armor of light.
Then don’t let your good be slandered,
It is good to not eat meat, drink wine, nor do anything by which your brother stumbles, is offended, or is made weak.
Now to him who is able to establish you according to my Good News and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret through long ages,
Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.
I myself am also persuaded about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish others.
that I should be a servant of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving as a priest of the Good News of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of God’s Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and around as far as to Illyricum, I have fully preached the Good News of Christ;
yes, making it my aim to preach the Good News, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build on another’s foundation.
For it has been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are at Jerusalem.
I know that, when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of the Good News of Christ.
that you receive her in the Lord, in a way worthy of the saints, and that you assist her in whatever matter she may need from you, for she herself also has been a helper of many, and of my own self.
For your obedience has become known to all. I rejoice therefore over you. But I desire to have you wise in that which is good, but innocent in that which is evil.
Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old yeast, neither with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
If others partake of this right over you, don’t we yet more? Nevertheless we did not use this right, but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the Good News of Christ.
For if I preach the Good News, I have nothing to boast about; for necessity is laid on me; but woe is to me, if I don’t preach the Good News.
Now I do this for the sake of the Good News, that I may be a joint partaker of it.
“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things build up.
Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.
even as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of the many, that they may be saved.
Now I declare to you, brothers, the Good News which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you also stand,
Don’t be deceived! “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.”
Let all that you do be done in love.
Now when I came to Troas for the Good News of Christ, and when a door was opened to me in the Lord,
But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
Therefore also we make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be well pleasing to him.
For we must all be revealed before the judgment seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true;
We have sent together with him the brother whose praise in the Good News is known throughout all the assemblies.
Having regard for honorable things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work.
seeing that through the proof given by this service, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the Good News of Christ, and for the generosity of your contribution to them and to all;
Now I pray to God that you do no evil; not that we may appear approved, but that you may do that which is honorable, though we are as reprobate.
and there isn’t another “good news.” Only there are some who trouble you, and want to pervert the Good News of Christ.
