I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.”
See now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have magnified your loving kindness, which you have shown to me in saving my life. I can’t escape to the mountain, lest evil overtake me, and I die.
Abraham said, “God will provide himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they both went together.
Abraham called the name of that place Yahweh Will Provide. As it is said to this day, “On Yahweh’s mountain, it will be provided.”
God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to save you alive by a great deliverance.
But his bow remained strong. The arms of his hands were made strong, by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, (from there is the shepherd, the stone of Israel),
Yahweh said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.
Therefore tell the children of Israel, ‘I am Yahweh, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments:
and I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God; and you shall know that I am Yahweh your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
that you shall say, ‘It is the sacrifice of Yahweh’s Passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians, and spared our houses.’” The people bowed their heads and worshiped.
Thus Yahweh saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.
Jethro said, “Blessed be Yahweh, who has delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh; who has delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.
“I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
“I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
but because Yahweh loves you, and because he desires to keep the oath which he swore to your fathers, Yahweh has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
Yahweh your God will raise up to you a prophet from among you, of your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him.
for Yahweh your God is he who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.”
You are happy, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by Yahweh, the shield of your help, the sword of your excellency? Your enemies will submit themselves to you. You will tread on their high places.”
The men of Gibeon sent to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal, saying, “Don’t abandon your servants! Come up to us quickly and save us! Help us; for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the hill country have gathered together against us.”
for it is Yahweh our God who brought us and our fathers up out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and who did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way in which we went, and among all the peoples through the middle of whom we passed.
Yahweh raised up judges, who saved them out of the hand of those who plundered them.
When Yahweh raised up judges for them, then Yahweh was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it grieved Yahweh because of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and troubled them.
When the children of Israel cried to Yahweh, Yahweh raised up a savior to the children of Israel, who saved them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother.
But when the children of Israel cried to Yahweh, Yahweh raised up a savior for them, Ehud the son of Gera, the Benjamite, a left-handed man. The children of Israel sent tribute by him to Eglon the king of Moab.
After him was Shamgar the son of Anath, who struck six hundred men of the Philistines with an ox goad. He also saved Israel.
I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all who oppressed you, and drove them out from before you, and gave you their land.
Yahweh said to the children of Israel, “Didn’t I save you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?
There is no one as holy as Yahweh, For there is no one besides you, nor is there any rock like our God.
Samuel took a suckling lamb, and offered it for a whole burnt offering to Yahweh. Samuel cried to Yahweh for Israel; and Yahweh answered him.
“Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man out of the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him to be prince over my people Israel. He will save my people out of the hand of the Philistines; for I have looked upon my people, because their cry has come to me.”
But you have today rejected your God, who himself saves you out of all your calamities and your distresses; and you have said to him, ‘No! Set a king over us.’ Now therefore present yourselves before Yahweh by your tribes, and by your thousands.”
Saul said, “No man shall be put to death today; for today Yahweh has rescued Israel.”
“When Jacob had come into Egypt, and your fathers cried to Yahweh, then Yahweh sent Moses and Aaron, who brought your fathers out of Egypt, and made them to dwell in this place.
Yahweh sent Jerubbaal, Bedan, Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered you out of the hand of your enemies on every side; and you lived in safety.
David and his men went to Keilah, and fought with the Philistines, and brought away their livestock, and killed them with a great slaughter. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.
Now then do it; for Yahweh has spoken of David, saying, ‘By the hand of my servant David, I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.’”
Behold, the Cushite came. The Cushite said, “News for my lord the king, for Yahweh has avenged you today of all those who rose up against you.”
All the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, “The king delivered us out of the hand of our enemies, and he saved us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he has fled out of the land from Absalom.
But Abishai the son of Zeruiah helped him, and struck the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David swore to him, saying, “Don’t go out with us to battle any more, so that you don’t quench the lamp of Israel.”
David spoke to Yahweh the words of this song in the day that Yahweh delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul,
and he said: “Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, even mine;
God is my rock in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge. My savior, you save me from violence.
I call on Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.
He sent from on high and he took me. He drew me out of many waters.
Yahweh lives! Blessed be my rock! Exalted be God, the rock of my salvation,
He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his offspring, forever more.”
Now these are the last words of David. David the son of Jesse says, the man who was raised on high says, the anointed of the God of Jacob, the sweet psalmist of Israel:
His servants said to him, “See now, we have heard that the kings of the house of Israel are merciful kings. Please let us put sackcloth on our bodies, and ropes on our heads, and go out to the king of Israel. Maybe he will save your life.”
(Yahweh gave Israel a savior, so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians; and the children of Israel lived in their tents as before.
Yahweh didn’t say that he would blot out the name of Israel from under the sky; but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.
Yours, Yahweh, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty! For all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, Yahweh, and you are exalted as head above all.
Thus Yahweh saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria and from the hand of all others, and guided them on every side.
Therefore you delivered them into the hand of their adversaries, who distressed them. In the time of their trouble, when they cried to you, you heard from heaven; and according to your manifold mercies you gave them saviors who saved them out of the hands of their adversaries.
or, ‘Deliver me from the adversary’s hand?’ or, ‘Redeem me from the hand of the oppressors?’
But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives. In the end, he will stand upon the earth.
Whom I, even I, shall see on my side. My eyes shall see, and not as a stranger. “My heart is consumed within me.
Arise, Yahweh! Save me, my God! For you have struck all of my enemies on the cheek bone. You have broken the teeth of the wicked.
Return, Yahweh. Deliver my soul, and save me for your loving kindness’ sake.
Yahweh, my God, I take refuge in you. Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,
My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart.
Have mercy on me, Yahweh. See my affliction by those who hate me, and lift me up from the gates of death;
But you do see trouble and grief. You consider it to take it into your hand. You help the victim and the fatherless.
Show your marvelous loving kindness, you who save those who take refuge by your right hand from their enemies.
Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
I call on Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised; and I am saved from my enemies.

He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me; for they were too mighty for me.
He brought me out also into a large place. He delivered me, because he delighted in me.
For who is God, except Yahweh? Who is a rock, besides our God,
You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand sustains me. Your gentleness has made me great.
As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me. The foreigners shall submit themselves to me.
He rescues me from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.
He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his offspring, forever more.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer.
Now I know that Yahweh saves his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, with the saving strength of his right hand.
Save, Yahweh! Let the King answer us when we call!
All those who see me mock me. They insult me with their lips. They shake their heads, saying,
“He trusts in Yahweh. Let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him.”
For dogs have surrounded me. A company of evildoers have enclosed me. They have pierced my hands and feet.
For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, Neither has he hidden his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard.
All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to Yahweh. All the relatives of the nations shall worship before you.
Lift up your heads, you gates! Be lifted up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory will come in.
Who is the King of glory? Yahweh strong and mighty, Yahweh mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, you gates; yes, lift them up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory will come in.
Yahweh is their strength. He is a stronghold of salvation to his anointed.
Save your people, and bless your inheritance. Be their shepherd also, and bear them up forever.
Yahweh my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me.
Hear, Yahweh, and have mercy on me. Yahweh, be my helper.”
Bow down your ear to me. Deliver me speedily. Be to me a strong rock, a house of defense to save me.
Into your hand I commend my spirit. You redeem me, Yahweh, God of truth.
Make your face to shine on your servant. Save me in your loving kindness.
This poor man cried, and Yahweh heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Brandish the spear and block those who pursue me. Tell my soul, “I am your salvation.”
But the salvation of the righteous is from Yahweh. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.
Yahweh helps them, and rescues them. He rescues them from the wicked, and saves them, Because they have taken refuge in him.
Hurry to help me, Lord, my salvation.
He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand.
Be pleased, Yahweh, to deliver me. Hurry to help me, Yahweh.
